(Cinet) - On June 1st, in Ha Noi, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Dang Thi Bich Lien worked with leading representatives of the People's Committee of An Giang province to discuss issues related to culture, sports and tourism.
At the meeting, leaders of An Giang Culture, Sports and Tourism Department reported and asked for the guidance of ministrial leaders in some issues:
- Suggest that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism submit to Prime Minister to consider, decide the project to organize the Eighth Vietnam National Games in 2018.
- Report the preparation of records for Oc Eo-Ba Relic and submit to UNESCO to seek recognition.
- Propose the Ministry to evaluate and approve the task of planning the special national relic of Oc Eo-Ba in Oc Eo town, Thoai Son district, An Giang province.
After hearing opinions of participants to discuss the above problem, Deputy Minister Dang Thi Bich Lien has concluded that reported contents and proposals of An Giang province needs to be consider deliberately and carefully so that we can ensure the compliance with procedures and the effectiveness when the project is developed.
Besides, Deputy Minister Dang Thi Bich Lien has assigned General Departments, departments and functional units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with local agencies and bodies to direct and resolve problems on the basis of contents proposed at the meeting.
