At the conference, Deputy Minister made a summary as follows:
Since 2005, cultural space of the Central Highland gong has recognized as intangible cultural heritage of humanity, sector of culture, sports and tourism implemented some contents as follows:
Collection and studying: Some locals positively organized some activities of book collection and musical instruments with high values.
Maintenance and teaching: Some locals were aware of maintaining and teaching activities through some projects. Through teaching and training, some artisans could increase more awareness of role of heritage and cultural protection.
Performance and propaganda: Annually, some locals organized gong festival from district to the provincial level.
In the up-coming time, Deputy Minister proposed that Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in some provinces continue to focus on some contents pledged in the dossiers; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in some provinces built Project to supplement information in 2016-2020 periods. The project will be approved and sent to the Dak lak provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism for collection.
Some main activities: Inspecting intangible cultural heritage according to Circular No.04/2010/TT-BVHTTDL; implementing Regulation No.62/2014/NĐ-CP on Nune 25, 2014 of the Government about honouring “People’s artist” and “meritorious artist” in terms of intangible cultural heritage; strengthening functional mechanism of heritage management.
Cultural Heritage Department: supporting and directing 05 provinces in the Central Highland to build the Project of the Central gong heritage maintenance in 2016-2020.
Ministerial Office and Cultural Heritage Department inspects some tasks to implement and make a report as annual.
Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts: Transfering and helping some provinces of the Central Highland to print some works at the Institute; fulfilling a report to mark 10 years for the Central Highland gong maintenance.
