Accordingly, a requirement of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Official Dispatch No.239/BVHTTDL-DSVH on January 25, 2016, opinion of the National Cultural Heritage Council (Official Dispatch No.239/BVHTTDL-DSVH on January 19, 2016) about participating into building multi-national document of the traditional lacquer craft to submit to the UNESCO to turn into list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
About the issue, the Deputy PM assigned the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) to be in charge and work with relevant ministries, sectors and agencies to join the Republic of Korea (RoK) and other nations that boast traditional lacquer techniques to design the dossier and ask for the Prime Minister’s permis sion to seek the UNESCO status.
