MCST: Supporting “A project on preserving and promoting the value of historical relic of 12th September on Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Square

(Cinet)- In Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Chien Thang had a working session with Nghe An provincial People’s Committee on detailed planning of Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Square and Center for Gyms and Sports in Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An province.

Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong reported a brief overview of detailed planning of Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Square and Center for Gyms and Sports in Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An province. Deputy Ministry of Construction Tran Ngoc Chinh and other delegates made their speeches. Deputy Minister Tran Chien Thang concluded and unified the project name, “A project on preserving and promoting the value of historical relic of 12^th September on Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Square”.

Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism: Approving of Nghe An Provincial People’s Committee’s policy on choosing Project 2 from detailed planning projection of Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Square and Center for Gyms and Sports in Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An province. Unifying a general opinion is to regard the historical relic of celebrating Xo Viet Nghe Tinh soldiers as spiritual center of Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Square; the outline of square space should be honored relic space, contributing to turning the relic area into a solemnly commemorative place and overcoming available weaknesses.

Specifically, Nghe An Provincial People’s Committee should plan and separate the relic area and the place of organizing public activities onto the square. Possibly, the planning of the relic area is subject to the traditional style, creating a favorable condition for commemorating revolutionary martyrs solemnly.

In other words, there is no need to move current three-way crossroads and transport. These planning projects should limit the maximum impacts on residents and avoid to moving and clearing the site.

Nghe An Province can conduct relief construction research, adjust transport and place landscape of the relic area. It is necessary to hold a design contest of relief and statue to select the best model.
