(Cinet) – on 14th October, 2008 the standing deputy Minister of the Culture, Sports and Torusm Nguyễn Danh Thái had a meeting with the ministerial office to report the operation of the press agencies belonging to the Ministry, the ideas of the leaders of press agencies and the Department of official organization.
After hearing the report about the members of the meeting, the standing Deputy Minister Nguyễn Danh Thái concluded: before the impact of the degrading economy inside and outside the country, the price of papers and printing highly increases, so press agencies should calculate carefully the number of publications to issue reduce losses; the publications which are too highly compensated can ask for the permission from the leaders of the Ministry to stop publishing; newspapers, magazines should actively establish the structure and regime and personnel according to the Decree 132/2007/NĐ-CP dated 8/8/2007 on the policy on redundancy and reporting to the Department of the Executive Organization to consider, submit the leaders of the Ministry to decide not to increase the workforce, increase reporters and editors working to the terms of the contract.
As for some specific activities, the cultural newspaper should continue to complete the project “ increasing to publish the terms of Cultural newspaper” to submit the leaders of the Ministry to consider and approve; the Department of Arts, Photography and Exhibition should soon complete the project upgrading the special issue of the magazine of Arts and Photography to submit the Ministerial leadership for approval; Hosting and cooperating with the cultural and sports newspaper, information technology center and Ministerial office to set up the plans to establish the joint branch association of the journalists of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
