Vietnamese painter displays artwork in Japan

A painting exhibition titled “The East and the West in me” of Vietnamese painter Nguyen Dinh Dang opened on October 26 till November 4, 2007 at H.A.C. Gallery in Tokyo, Japan.

The exhibition showcases 19 oil paintings which were made over 11 years (1996-2007), including large-sized ones like “Exit”, which won the award of the Japanese Sompo Arts Foundation in 2007, and “Winter ocean”, which won an international award in 2005.

Lady Takamado from the Japanese Royal Family attended the opening ceremony of this exhibition.

Nguyen Dinh Dang is a member of the Vietnam Arts Association and Japan’s Subject Art Association. He is also a nuclear physicist who is working at the RIKEN Science Institute in Japan.
