(Cinet)- The Government Prime Minister, Nguyen Tan Dung, has introduced a key guideline on the assignment of tasks and state management authorities on advertising between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Information and Communications.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is responsible for unifying state management on advertising under that guideline. Its major duties are to issue, amend, complement, and withdraw licenses for Branches’ establishment of business individuals and organizations on international advertising services, licenses for the implementation of advertising campaigns on other means, except for press, computer information network, literature publication….
The Ministry of Information and Communications has a duty to issue, amend, complement, and withdraw advertising licenses; guide the implementation of advertising; inspection and deal with violation behaviors of individuals, organizations as well as agencies involved in advertising activity on the press (including: printing press, image press, speaking press, electronic newspaper), on computer information network and literature publication.
The Prime Minister also orders the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to chair and coordinate with the Ministry of Information and Communications on issuing a joint circular which regulates procedures related to advertising license, inspective coordination contributes to inspecting and deal with law violation behaviors in the advertising field on the press computer information network and publication.
