A crew from CNN began filming the sights of Ha Long Bay today for a 30-second television commercial that will be broadcast on the international network.
The crew from CNN’s Asian bureau arrived in Ha Long, Quang Ninh Province yesterday and had a meeting with the Quang Ninh Province Department of Tourism.
Creative director Veronica Phua, film director Lum Chee Kin, visual director Goh Meng Hing, manager Ong Tiong Huat and cameraman Kin Chuan will spend three days capturing the best of Vietnam’s most popular scenic attraction, places like Dau Go Cave, Thien Cung Cavern, Sung Sot Cave, Luon Cave, Trong Mai Rock, Ti-Top Island, and Cua Van Village.
Before arriving in Ha Long, the crew spent three days filming the sights of Hanoi like the late Predident Ho Chi Minh Museum, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, Mot Cot Pagoda, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s house, Nguyen Tri Phuong Primary School, Hang Chieu Alley, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Guom Lake, the Temple of Literature (Vietnam’s first university) and the Hanoi Opera House.
Ha Long Bay was given World Heritage listing in 1994 and is now a leading contender for inclusion in the NewOpenWorld Organization’s seven natural wonders of the world, for which the public can vote.Source SGGP
