(Cinet)- The Trade Union Festival held by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism takes place within two days from 21th to 22nd May 2008 at Ho Chi Minh Museum, Hanoi.
The first Trade Union Festival focuses on assessing practical situations of staffs, officials and civil servants and gained results of the Trade Union’s activities in the last few years; putting forward new tasks and orientations in the following years to develop the movements of staffs, officials, civil servants, laborers and the activities of the Trade Union strongly, contributing to implementing political tasks of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism successfully. Particularly, the Festival will seek experienced, good and dynamic factors to improve the executive Board of the Trade Union under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Session I of the 2008-2013 term including 25 members.
Nguyen Thuc, Chairman of the Provisional Executive Board of the Trade Union under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: In the current integration trend, the demand for enhancing officials’ professional skills and standards in the fields of culture, family, sports and tourism is very necessary. The Executive Board in the new term is responsible for meeting the demand for all tasks in the new phase.
Under the set tasks and orientations of the Trade Union of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the 2008-2013 term, goals, taskf and specific criteria such as enhancing the quality of staffs “Loyalty, creativity, devotion, and moral example”; developing staffs, officials, civil servants, laborers and organizing the Trade Union solidly; taking care of people’s life, protecting their legal and proper rights and interests.
Several specific criteria are: 100% staffs, trade-unionists are studied the Party’s policies and guidelines comprehensively, the State’s legal policies and the Trade Union’s policies and decrees; obtaining over 90% excellent trade-unionists, 90% basic Trade Union gaining a solid standard of basic Trade Union; 100% agencies and units of the Festival; 90% trade-unionists nourished the professional skills of the Trade Union work.
