(Cinet)- Voluntary Green Summer 2008 held by The Youth union of the Ministry of Culture, sports and tourism in Hochiminh which took place within 1 month(from 1.7 to 1.8.2008), with the participation of 125 voluntary students of universities and colleges belonging to the Ministry of Culture, sports and Tourism in Hochiminh achieved considerable results. To review those results, on 11/8 recently, the youth union of the Ministry of Culture, sports and tourism has started the 2008 Green Summer campaign.

Members of the Green Summer campaign were leaders of the representative office of the Ministry of culture, sports and tourism in Hochiminh with the steering board and the volunteers of the campaign.

After one month of implementing the campaign in 3 communes: Vi Dong, Vi Thanh, Vi Binh, The Green Summer Campaign 2008 of the youth union of the Ministry of culture, sports and tourism in Hochiminh achieved the following results: propagandizing students who left school to go to school, revising the knowledge in summer for students from all grades, opening 3 informatics classes for 72 students, 11 classes teaching painting – English for 804 students, instructing the model of growing vegetables for 32 households and carrying out 4 plot models in hamlets belonging to Vi Thanh commune and other activities such as propagandizing and studying the thought and morality Hochiminh, the ways of disease prevention, …

Also at the campaign, to recognize the contributions of students belonging to universities and colleges of the trade union of the Ministry of culture, sports and tourism in Hochiminh, the party standing committee of the Ministry of culture, sports and tourism in Hochiminh already rewarded merit certificates for 3 teams having finished their tasks in the Green summer campaign the 15^th – 2008 in Hau Giang. They are: the trade union of the university of fine arts, the trade union of Hochiminh university of culture, the trade union of the broadcasting and television college 2.
