Trade Union of MCST holds the first congress: Merging and developing a group of staffs, officials and laborers strongly

(Cinet)- The Trade Union of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism was established on 15th February 2008 on a merging basis: the Trade Union of General Department of Tourism, the Trade Union of Committee of Gyms and Sports, and the Trade Union of Ministry of Culture and Information. As a multi-sector Ministry and a strong group of staffs, officials and civil servants in various fields, the Trade Union of the Ministry has carried out activities well after a short-time merge.

Basic Trade Union maintains activities well such as launching competitive movements towards “good consultancy and service”. Besides, the Trade Union also cares and protects trade-unionists’ legal rights and interests such as increasing their salary, changing tasks,…

The congress put forward some specific tasks and goals for the 2008-2013, for example developing a strong group of staffs, officials, laborers and Trade Union organizations competitively; taking care of laborers’ life; obtaining 100% basic Trade Union conducting the quality of competitive movements, 90% Basic Trade Union gaining the cultural standard of staffs, officials and civil servants; 90% Basic Trade Union attaining solid Basic Trade Union…

Making a speech at the congress, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Trade Union Hoang Thi Hoa highly appreciated gained achievements of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the last few years and ordered Executive Board of the Trade Union in the new term to continuously promote the movement of labor competition, promptly consolidating and strengthening the machinery and group of trade-unionists; Renovating operation methods and contents of the Trade Union in such a practical and efficient way closely linked to people; Focusing on the development work of members; Facilitating staffs, officials and civil servants towards “Loyalty, creativity, dedication, example”; enhancing the status of trade union organization

The congress voted the newly Executive Board, including 25 members, of which Nguyen Thuc was accredited to Chairman.
