Informing guidance of Deputy Minister Hung Vinh Ai at a working session with Lai Chau province

(Cinet)- On 6th May 2008, Office of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism informed guidance of Deputy Minister Hung Vinh Ai at a working session with Lai Chau province held on 16th April 2008.

Deputy Minister Hung Vinh Ai welcomed positive achievements, namely in the fields of Culture, Sports and Tourism gained by Lai Chau province in the last few years though Lai Chau province still copes with many difficulties and lacks an institutional system of culture, sports and tourism.

With regard to the province’s recommendations, the Deputy Minister concluded:

-          The request for holding the 10^th Festival Day of culture, sports and tourism for Southwest provinces in March 2009 is approved. Department of National Culture is assigned to coordinate with Provincial Department of Culture and Information in making detailed plans and advising Leaders of the Ministry promulgating a Decision for holding the Festival Day.

-          The Ministry assists in holding the 100^th anniversary ceremony of Lai Chau province’s establishment (1909 – 2009) in such a solemn way, making the atmosphere exciting under the principle of ensuring savings and safety.

-          With reference to the national target program concerning culture and tourism: Provincial Administration Department of Culture and Tourism worked with General Departments, Departments and Regulatory Offices under the Ministry. Based on regulatory units’ appraisals, the Ministry will consider and allocate expenses inside the national target program concerning culture and tourism for each specific project in the province in the upcoming years.

-          As for workers in Phong Tho district, Lai Chau as a key place of culture: the Ministry now carries out pilot models of cultural areas at 8 districts nationwide. In the following years, after summarizing the pilot implementation of this program, the Ministry will further expand these models nationwide.

-          The construction project of Ho Chi Minh President’s Monument should continuously be implemented under guidance documents’ regulations of the State and Party.

-          The province should work with the Project Management Unit of Son La Hydropower on pushing up moving progress and preservation of intangible and tangible heritages.
