The Standing Deputy Minister of MCST Nguyễn Danh Thái had a meeting with the Golf association of Vietnam(GVA)

(Cinet)- On 11/3, in Hanoi, the Deputy Standing Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyễn Danh Thái had a meeting with the Gold association of Vietnam.

At the meeting, on behalf of the GVA, Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Chu presented the targets, projects of Golf of Vietnam in the forthcoming time, in which paying attention to training athletes of high sporting achieving athletes and young athletes.

The Deputy Minister Nguyễn Danh Thái highly appreciated the socialization of Golf. To create favorable conditions for developing more this new sport in Vietnam, the Deputy Minister requested the Golf subject should be based on the competition plan per year of high sporting games to put Golf into the official competition subject in the national competition. The Deputy Minister also requested GVA to build up the training project of young athletes and could invite foreign experts to train young athletes in 3 months.

As for the preparation for Golf to attend SEA Games 25, the Deputy Minister requested the subjects to cooperate with GVA to soon make a list of team to put into the official team of the Sporting delegation, the expenses to attend will be paid by the State. (in SEA Games 24, Golf Vietnam also appoints the delegation of athletes of Vietnam to attend but self paid the expenses). The deputy Minister also requested GVA to make a document to send to the People’s Committee of Hanoi city to apply for land to build up the young training center. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will positively support GVA in this field.
