An experiment on the casualty capacity of An Duong King’s magic crossbow (Van Lang-Au Lac age) on Nov 16 was carried out by the Vietnam Military History Museum and Weaponry Museum (General Department of Technique).
The experiment’s results show that the casualty radius of a shoot of a single bronze arrow can reach over 50m and that of a multiple arrows stands at between 10-20m.
Within the distance of 20m, an arrow can enter an animal to the depth of between 20-30cm.
