The Communist Youth Union of Hochiminh, the Ministry of CST held the campaign of electing for Ha Long Bay

(Cinet)- Responding to the Youth Month 2009, the Communist Youth Union of Hochiminh, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism already held the competition to call for the public to participate in selecting for Ha Long Bay to become one of seven world natural wonders.

Hundreds of trade-unionists of over 60 units belonging to the Ministry already participated in the Competition from 7.3- 22.3. Each day had 4 shifts of competition, each shift lasted 90 minutes at the mechanical room of the national library. Only on 15.3.2009, the competition attracted 2.250 times of people to elect successfully for Ha Long Bay which is acknowledged through the Website  www.new7wonders.com of the New Open World- the unit initiating for this election.

The selection for 7 new natural world wonders is now going to the second phase. In this phase, 261 national or multinational beauty spots will be elected to choose 77 beauty spots to turn into the next competition. Currently, the Organization Board are now dividing these 261 beauty spots into 7 tables from A- G. The wonder Ha Long Bay of Vietnam, after two months ranking the third, now falling down the forth of the table G – the ocean scenery ( not lying in the top of 21 beauty spots which are elected most any longer). Now, each vote for Ha Long Bay is very precious for this wonder to turn to the next competition of the election.
