Ha Noi to resound to sounds of Spain

A classical piece of Spanish music, zarzuela, will resound at the Ha Noi Opera House on November 16.

The lyrical and dramatic composition will be played by the Spanish Cadaques Orchestra along with international artists including Vietnamese violinist Bui Cong Duy.

The 2007 Toyota Concert will feature works by Spanish classical composers Chapi, Sorozabal, Chueca, Torroba, Sarasate and Bach.

The concert is sponsored by Toyota Viet Nam, which has presented in Viet Nam for the past ten years and is involved in many other social and cultural activities.

Since its inception in 1998, the annual Toyota Concert has established a position as one of the most important and celebrated events on Ha Noi’s cultural calendar.

Proceeds from the one-time event will go to flood victims in the three provinces of Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh.
