So far, The Library of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has been well-equipped with over 25 newspaper and magazine titles, more than 1000 book titles with various contents and forms, including political-social books, books for mastering and researching law, Ho Chi Minh morality and ideology books, literature books, tourist books….
Delivering his speech at the opening ceremony, the Minister Hoang Tuan Anh emphasized the role of the Library in meeting demands of information, entertainment, study, and research of groups of staffs, officials, civil servants and laborers. Besides maintaining and preserving infrastructure, equipment and available documents; the Library also contributes to enhancing the professional library; and often supplementing book, newspapers and libraries to serve the practice and efficiency of readers’ requirements. Annually, voluntarily awarding festivals should be organized to promote broad sources from many addresses aimed at further enriching and diversifying the number of the library’s books and newspapers; and possibly supporting other basic libraries in difficulties, remote areas…
Opening the new Library of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is also an essential activity when the World Copyright and Book Day (April 23rd) approaching.
