Summarizing the culture, sport and tourism tasks in May 2008

(Cinet)- In May 2008, entire branch focus on implementing well the tasks required in plan.

Specifically, ministry co-operated with related offices hold cultural and arts activities to celebrate the United Nation Vesak 2008 in Vietnam , 118^th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh’s birth day, 54^th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victoria , Labor Day, Foundation Day of Ho Chi Minh Youth Pioneers. The activities are diversified and exciting includes of cultural and arts activities, propaganda painting exhibition, festivals and several public performances to praise dear Uncle Ho and glorious Communist Party.

Government management tasks are intensified and many management documents on Culture, Sport and Tourism are issued. Inspection on cultural activities or trade in cultural service is also speeded up so as to correct mistakes timely. The culture and information inspection forces and interdisciplinary inspection crew in some provinces, cities checked 756 enterprises and treated 336 infringed enterprises, gave warning to 6, suspended 1 and held in custody 12 business licence

In June, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is continuously speeding up the implementation of project, plan and legal normative drafts to submit to authorities; preparing for Al Game in March 2009 and ASEAN Tourism Forum 2009; directing the organization of Miss Universal 2008 and Hue Festival 2008; Implementing Decision No 63/2008/QĐ-TTg date 19 May 2009 issued by Prime minister assigning function, task,  right and structure of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Holding the sum-up meeting on organizing the National Tourism Year in locals; Holding a Sum-up conference on organizing festival and festival management in the last few year.
