MCST: Opening the 10th Festival day of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the Northwest provinces

(Cinet)- The 10th Festival day of Culture, Sports and Tourism is expected to be held in March 2009. To prepare for this significant event, at the headquarter of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Huynh Vinh Ai has worked with Leaders of Lai Chau Provincial People’s Committee.

Pursuant to Official Letter No. 95/TB – VP dated 6^th May 2008 of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry assists Lai Chau province in organizing activities of Culture and Arts, especially General Department of Gyms and Sports considers to open proper sports contests during the 100^th anniversary period of the provincial establishment, of which traditional sports attracted by local residents are given a priority.

At the working session, Deputy Minister Huynh Vinh Ai leads the anniversary ceremony solemnly, making the atmosphere more exciting under the principle of ensuring savings and safety. The Ministry ordered Department of National Culture to coordinate with Lai Chau Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in making detailed plans, and simultaneously advising Leaders of the Ministry promulgating a Decision on the opening of the Festival Day.
