MCST: holding conference on “deploying the plan of science and technology of Ministry in 2009”

(Cinet)- Recognize the importance of science and technology in such an industrialization and modernization society, on 28 May Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism held a conference on “deploying the plan of science and technology of the Ministry in 2009”. Deputy Minister Tran Chien Thang presided over the conference.

After listening the opinions of delegates, Deputy Minister Tran Chien Thang went to a conclusion that: in the following time Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism will establish a council of Science and Technology, of which members are chairman of local scientific councils. On the base of that, we are step by step developing the science and technology in medium and long terms. The plan of developing Science and Technology year 2009 must base on realities and be completed before July 20 for approving. Department of Science, Technology and Environment needs to build a database on science and technology mission to have an accurate assessment of our current science and technology researches. Deputy Minister also requires offices in department to make reports on completed or on going themes so that the ministry could have an obvious plan for science and technology research.
