MCST in coordination with Hanoi City People’s Committee develops culture, sports and tourism activities in the 2008-2010 periods

(Cinet)- Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Hanoi City People’s Committee have recently issued a notice No. 737/TB- BVHTTDL&UBND informing the conclusion of Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Chairman of Hanoi City People’s Committee on the culture, sports and tourism activities in the 2008-2010 period.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Chairman of Hanoi City People’s Committee have agreed to further develop the progress of the work as approved in the coordination Program of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (formerly so-called Ministry of Culture and Information) and Hanoi City People’s Committee, especially implementation items marking the great festival day of the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi

Specifically:

·         Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Hanoi City People’s Committee continuously carry out all the coordination contents agreed by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Chairman of Hanoi City People’s Committee at Notice No. 3867/TB-BVHTT&UBTP dated September 19th 2006; supplement certain specific contents and regulate some coordination contents with Ministry of Information and Communication (attached appendix), of which:

·         Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with Ministries and Industries goes on to implement the construction investment of great cultural projects in Hanoi City, including National Historical Museum, Cultural Historical Park, Co Loa Film Studio, the National Assembly’s Hall newly-associated with the Royal Citadel Relic Area, Ancient Citadel, Center for National Exposition Fair in Me Tri…

The Ministry assists Hanoi City in providing professional knowledge in the culture, sports and tourism field; completing an outline of Hanoi Museum Exposition and Thang Long Great Theatre Design; planning, preserving and restoring typically cultural-historical relics (for example Ancient Citadel, Thang Long Royal Citadel, Co Loa, Ancient Street…); investing in rehabilitating all relics to mark the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi…; making preparations for the 1000th Thang Long – Hanoi Great Festival Day; hold various programs of culture and arts, fairs, expositions, and picture exhibition on Thang Long –Hanoi; implementing two historical films on a Founder Ly Cong Uan and a Great Tutor Tran Thu Do timely to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi…

Along with Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hanoi City People’s Committee leads a number of works to develop culture, sports and tourism in the City such as: promoting the progress of site clearance; handing over tasks to the Project Management Unit in order to implement the construction project of the National Historical Museum; Arranging 200ha and supporting site clearance so that Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism can implement the construction project of Film Studio in Co Loa; Laying a location to build a headquarter of Author Copyright Department as suggested by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; In coordination with Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, solving difficult problems related to the accommodation of the Ministry’s staffs and officials in Hanoi City; Creating a favorable condition for helping Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism construct and open tourist-cultural spaces at 16 Le Thai To timely to welcome the 1000th Great Festival Day of Thang Long – Hanoi.

Periodically once a year, Leaders from Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Hanoi City People’s Committee hold a working session to evaluate the progress of conducting all the works as agreed and timely solve difficult problems and ensure that the implementation of all the works can gain the highest results.
