Continuing his Austria tour, on June 4, Vietnamese State President Nguyễn Minh Triết and his spouse visited Krems, a 1000-year-old city, and the Danube-University Krems which is working with the Huế University to train bachelors of arts in tourism administration and entertainment.

President Nguyễn Minh Triết hailed the cooperation between the two universities, considering it a vivid evidence for the friendly and cooperative relations between Việt Nam and Austria.

Mr. Triết stressed that though being one of Việt Nam’s important economic industries, tourism has not flourished commensurate to the country’s potentialities, partly due to the lack of international-qualified human forces. Hence, Austrian assistance for Việt Nam to train its tourist managers will help boost up the Vietnamese tourism, he asserted.

The President expressed his wish that, in the coming time, within the bilateral educational and training cooperation, more Vietnamese students will be granted with scholarships by the Austrian Government.

At June 4 night, the State President and his spouse leaf Vienna, starting another State-level visit to the Kingdom of Norway.
